2) TRIM — Is anything overgrown to the point it’s obscuring the house? Any trees whose growth is posing a threat to your or your neighbor’s property? If so, cut these back along with plants and shrubs. Pull weeds. Rake leaves. Keep the lawn mowed. Edge if possible.
3) CLEAN — How clean and tidy does your property look? You’ll want to kill any mold or mildew on the house, sidewalk, and driveway. Clean your windows and gutters. Powerwash siding, decks, and concrete if needed. Tidy up and put away garden tools, toys, etc. Keep clutter to a minimum. We clean after we trim because trimming is messy.
4) COSMETIC — How pretty or attractive does your home look? One thing you can do to jazz it up is get a stylish new door, or add new door hardware to your current door. You could also get a stylish new porch light. It’s a good idea to give the shutters a fresh coat of paint and if you’re keeping your door you could paint or stain it a contrasting color. Finally, you can place a potted plant filled with colorful flowers on your porch.
Please don’t forget the backyard. Buyers always try to get a look at the backyard even when they are quickly driving by. Remember, I’m a phone call away and I look forward to taking this journey with you if you’re interested. You’ll also want to check out the many beautiful homes we currently have for sale.
